લઘરવઘર મુફલિસ
મંદિરની બહાર
સહુના બૂટને જોતો ધારદાર

ચોર ચોરની બૂમો
અપશબ્દોનો વરસાદ
મારો મારોનો નાદ

બહુ સિફ્તથી છટકી…આગળ જૈ અટકી
કશેક વળી ગયો
પૂજારીએ ભકતોને પુછ્યુ
દાઢી હતી?…આંખોમાં ચમક હતી?
ટોળૂ ગુસ્સામા.. હા બોલ્યુ

પૂજારીએ નિ:સાસો નાખ્યો :
કાલે જ ઇશ્વર સપનામાં કહેતા હતા
તારા દ્વારે આવીશ અને હડધૂત થૈ ને જૈશ

ટોળુ ઇશ્વર જેવા ઇશ્વરને ભગાડી મુક્યાની
કિકિયારીઓ કરતુ ગર્વથી નીકળી ગયુ

    જરૂર કોઈક મંદિરમાં તમારા બૂટ ચોરાયા હશે…

    કોઈને ના સૂઝે તે કવિને સૂઝે.
    લગે રહો (કવિતાની વાત થાય છે! બૂટની નહીં!!).
